Tailgaters Tavern
I led the menu development for Tailgaters Tavern, a sports bar and grill, with support from our marketing team. The project involved creating a complete food and bar menu from the ground up, designed to reflect the restaurant's identity as a bold, welcoming destination for sports fans and casual diners. The goal was to produce cohesive, guest-friendly menus that communicated the brand’s personality while clearly showcasing offerings across both the kitchen and the bar.

Before developing the menus, I familiarized myself with the Tailgaters Tavern brand, their target audience, and the tone they wanted to convey. Reviewing inspiration images provided by the client helped clarify the experience they wanted to create for their guests, which informed both the structure of the menus and the direction of the copy.

With the creative direction established, I worked alongside the marketing team to develop the layout and structure for both the food and bar menus, drawing primarily from content provided by the client. The food menu was organized into sports-themed sections that guide guests through the dining experience in a way that feels natural to the Tailgaters brand. The bar menu was structured to give guests a clear and organized view of the full beverage program. My role focused on organizing and presenting the client’s content in a way that was visually cohesive, easy to navigate, and consistent with the overall brand identity across both menus.

This project reinforced the importance of translating a client’s vision into a cohesive, functional end product. Working closely with both the client and my team strengthened my understanding of how thoughtful organization, clear structure, and visual consistency can elevate something as practical as a menu into a meaningful brand touchpoint.
